Welcome to the Eagles!
In Year 6, we enjoy being the oldest children in the school and are proud to take on extra responsibilities, such as helping run the school library, being an assembly monitor or collecting team points for Golden Book assembly. At the same time, we love learning, for example using novel study to inspire our writing, and enjoy taking increased responsibility for our own learning, in order to prepare for the transition to secondary school. Miss Ward, Mrs Law and Mrs Wigglesworth make sure we still have time for fun though! We participate in visits to Crucial Crew, the Doncaster Book Awards and an annual residential. All this, plus our end of year production, help to make sure that we thoroughly enjoy our final year at Hayfield Lane!
