The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch
Our Novel Study for this term is The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. The classrooms have turned into seaside wonderlands with amazing creations added by the children over half term. We are having a little trouble with some pesky seagulls who seem to want to steal our food and our nice equipment too! We're going to have to think of a way to help Mr Grinling the lighthouse keeper and his wife Mrs Grinling, stop those pesky varmints in their tracks.
We are all excited for our trip to the seaside in the last half term, more information on this to follow!
JACK AND THE BEANSTALK
In the Spring term, our novel was Jack and the beanstalk, our science, maths and English all linked to our novel.
How tall will these beanstalks grow?
In science, we planted beans in cotton wool and have been giving them water. Magically, they have grown!
We found a beautiful golden egg in our classroom. 'I wonder how the Golden egg appeared...'
In the Autumn term our novel was... Oh help! Oh No! the Gruffalo! We weren't scared, we can be pretty fierce ourselves.
