Doncaster Book Awards

Eagle class attended the Doncaster Book Award Launch at Cast Theatre this term and had a great time hearing from Liz Million, the book illustrator and various authors. So all children in Year 6 have been working their way through the long list list for this year's awards writing reviews as they go along. Votes have already been cast for the shortlist which will be declared in January 2015. 

We also had a school visit from the author Debi Evans who told us about her current books based on her blog writing dog! 

Two children from Eagle class will also be part of a Christmas pantomime in Doncaster linked to the Book Awards. More details and photos to follow hopefully.....!

Hard at work!

We may have some budding journalists in our midst! Year 6 are seen here working on their newspaper articles in our newly refurbished Gruffalo Library / ICT area. Keep your eye out for some examples of their work once complete.
