Theme days and events

On Wednesday the 6th of June, Year 2 visited Potteric Carr nature reserve to take part in practical learning linked to our science and geography topics.

Friday 9th March

World Book Day was as fun as ever. A strange collection of characters wandered into class and took the place of our usual children!

We had a great time learning about the food pyramid and making and designing our sandwiches

We had a really exciting drama lesson linked to our new book Tusk, Tusk. We became the elephants and thought about what they might have said, how they felt and how they were feeling

We had a visit from the lovely staff at Tesco to help us with our Healthy and Growth Learning. We had a chance to taste fruit, vegetables and snacks which we hadn't tried before. We also learnt how much sugar is added to some of our favourite treats. One can of cola had 1 and a half times our daily allowance of sugar, we were shocked!

We celebrated Anti-Bullying week this week by wearing our odd socks to show that

WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE!

Wow what an amazing time we had this week! We transported ourselves into the book Where the Wild Things Are and participated in a "wild rumpus!"

A big thank you to parents, carers and friends who contributed to the fantastic costumes for homework we really appreciated your efforts! Take a look at some of the things we got up to!
