Bees and Minibeasts
This half term we will be learning all about bees!
The children have shown a real interest in the natural world when exploring outside so this will be the focus for the half term.
We will talk about the importance of bees, learn about how they make honey and of course taste honey. The children will have the opportunities to explore beekeeping hands on when the beekeeping society visit us in class. We will start to prepare our outside area for planting to encourage wildlife to visit us and the children will learn to plant seeds and how to care for them. There will be the opportunity to learn about other minibeasts depending on children’s interests.
