Breakfast Club and After-school Clubs

BREAKFAST CLUB

We have a wonderful breakfast club called EARLY BIRDS from 8:00 and you can purchase this each day for only £2.50.

Let your children enjoy toast and a drink before they start the school day. They are all escorted to their classrooms ready for the start of school. Breakfast Club is open to ALL children at Hayfield Lane Primary (Nursery upwards).

BUSY BEES WRAP AROUND CARE

We are  pleased to be offering wrap around care provision for our working parents. BUSY BEES is situated in the school bungalow, lower hall and upper library. The children are escorted from their classrooms at the end of the school day where they go to enjoy fun activities until their parents collect them.

The clubs are run by our Teaching Assistant/midday team so that the children are well used to being with them. BUSY BEES IS OPEN MONDAY TO FRIDAY  3:30-5:30 ( except on Fridays where it closes at 5pm).

Each session costs £5. This is particularly competitive in price and a way in which the school is supporting parents in difficult times. For more details please telephone the office.

AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS

After school we have a wide range of after school clubs to choose from . We offer different clubs for each half term so that everyone's interests are catered for. Please look at the Clubs section for details .

If you require after school clubs as a form of child care, you must note that the clubs vary each half term and we cannot guarantee a place for your child so that you have confirmed childcare. This is why the school offers a permanent option of Busy Bees wrap around care. Parents must however note that spaces for this provision are limited. As the school has grown to two form entry we have adapted our provision to provide more support for working parents. We now have 3 breakfast clubs and 3 Busy Bee hives that cater for set age groups. The school will not be expanding places beyond this. If places at Busy Bees are relinquished for after school club provision and after school clubs then do not run for a specific year group, parents will have to reapply for a Busy Bees place. We cannot guarantee spaces will still be available.

All wrap around provision (breakfast club, after school clubs and Busy Bees) is subject to availability and stipulates that the behaviour of children is good, otherwise access to the service may be removed. Children with complex needs affecting regulation will have reasonable adjustments made in this provision however it is a non-statutory service and behaviour still has to meet standards as set out in the Behaviour and Relationships policy. Thank you for your support with this matter.
