The Three Billy Goats Gruff
We are now fully into the swing of the structure of traditional tales, and this has meant we are flying with our learning around the three billy goats gruff!
we have acted out the story using our talk 4 writing format, thought about what the characters might say and sounded and wrote this, as a group and independently.
Today we even made bridges as a STEM activity! In the morning we looked at different kinds of bridges and what their strengths/weaknesses were. We then practices using different construction materials around our classroom. For the afternoon session, we could only use the resources we were given and had to work in groups of 6 to make a bridge. We worked really well together, but found that it really helped us to have a plan first, as we found this much trickier than the basket and chair models we had made. ALL of our bridges managed to carry a car across however, and we can’t wait to reenact the story with them and out goat and troll puppets over the next few days!
