Week 3 NHS/Mother's Day
This week we have also been celebrating Mother’s and Others day for the special people who look after us and love us.. We made special cards and wrote why we love these special people. Thank you to all these people.
Mother’s and Others Day.
This we week we have continued to learn about the NHS. We have been very lucky to have two visitors in school who work for the NHS. Our first visitor was a community midwife and told us all about how she helps new mums and babies in the community. We asked lots of questions such as “ How do you help new babies and mummies?” “ Why do you wear a uniform?”
“ What time do you go to work?”.
Our second visitor was a community nurse, she told us all about working in the community and helping people get better and she showed us some equipment that she takes around with her. Again we asked questions such as “ How do you make people better?” “Do you phone ambulances.” “ Do you give medicine to make people better?”
We really enjoyed meeting our visitors and they told us lots of interesting information. Thank you for coming in to see us.
