During remote learning, children and staff took part in our masked reader event. The idea came from the well known TV programme called 'The Masked Singer' and it was Hayfield Lane's way of celebrating World Book Day this year. Children were set a challenge to make their own mask based on a character from a book. They were then asked to read the book in a disguised voice so that others could guess who was behind the mask.
Across Year 3 (and the whole school), there were some FANTASTIC entries and we were BLOWN AWAY by the effort that our children and families had put in but unfortunately we could only choose ONE winner. This was an extremely tough decision but we are happy to announce that ELLIOTT was the chosen winner for Year 3.
