School starts at 9am and finishes at 3:30pm.

Please come to school in full PE Kit every MONDAY for Scotty's Heroes or Forest School (alternating on Monday afternoons) and every THURSDAY for PE with Mrs Middlebrook.

Please DO NOT bring any uniform to school on Mondays and Thursdays as children will NOT be getting changed. We always hope for the best weather, but it's worth preparing for the worst, so it's a great idea to wear trainers and bring a shower proof jacket too!

Please remember to bring a water bottle to school every day.

HOME LEARNING

Reading:

Please read every night to an adult. This can be your school reading book, a book you have accessed on Bug Club or your Read Write Inc book if you have one.  Please ask an adult to comment and sign your planner so we can count up your weekly reads every MONDAY.

In our classroom, we have a special reading chart.  If you manage to move up the chart successfully (by reading 5 times per week) there will be a Monday treat so please always bring your planner and any school reading books in every MONDAY so we can count your reads for the week and change your book. Due to Health and Safety precautions, we will NOT be able to check planners or change books on any other days. 

Mathletics & Timestable Rockstars

Mathletics is a fantastic app designed to support your child with their learning.  The children are able to complete fun tasks and also play 'live' against other children to earn points.  

Certificates are awarded as follows:

Bronze Certificate – 1000 points earned in a week

Silver Certificate –  5 x bronze certificates

Gold Certificate –  4 x silver certificates (20 weeks of sustained effort!)

(Only one certificate can be earned each week – this encourages consistent participation.)

Times Table Rockstars is a fun and challenging app designed to help children master their tables. We often like to challenge children with a 'Battle of the Bands' where they are able to compete against another class or year group!
