Big Projects
At Hayfield Lane Primary School, our curriculum learning journeys always conclude with a Big Project! These are all projects that incorporate taught skills and knowledge, that combine multi-disciplinary subjects together to make a product with a moral purpose!
It incorporates our school vision for children - HAYFIELD LANE…. BUILDING CRITICAL THINKERS OF THE FUTURE, WITH A ZEST FOR LIFE-LONG LEARNING, WHO SHARE COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY AS ACTIVE AND EQUITABLE CITIZENS.
The projects themselves are designed to include focus from the 'Local Drivers for Change' from the Education and Skills 2030 Strategy for Doncaster, and the creativity skills from Rooty Hill's Creativity Wheel. They have a strong moral purpose to them and include real life global citizenship links to ensure children are becoming active and equitable citizens of the future in Doncaster. It develops our children to become critical thinkers in a real-life context that is personable to them.
