THE HAYFIELD LANE FAMILY
Parents are a child’s first and life-long teacher and that is why it is so important the relationship between home and school is good; it makes a difference to our children.
We aim to communicate with parents regularly about their child’s progress and parents can contact staff to discuss their child’s progress at any time, in addition to the parent evenings in the autumn and spring terms and the Annual Report to Parents at the end of the summer term.
To actively engage with parents and help inform parents of how they can effectively support their child’s learning, we share learning regularly through the website on the class page, share online curriculum information for the term so that parents know the key knowledge their child will be learning. We also provide ‘parent sessions and family learning sessions .
Throughout the year we also hold celebration family sessions to build our relationship as a BIG FAMILY. Examples of this include the Mothers and Fathers Day events, Halloween Pumpkin Carving Workshop etc.....
We welcome input from our parents and encourage everyone to contribute via PARENT FORUM. Please see the COMMUNITY section of the website for additional information. Working together, we can make the school the very best that it can be for all.
