Making hibernation homes for Hattie the Hedgehog!
The children used their class novel to complete the challenge’Make Hattie the Hedgehog’ a hibernation box!
We explored what hibernation was, when it happened, which animals might hibernate and how long for.
We used mathematical skills to work out which animals hibernated the longest and from what months, our knowledge of the world to design the hibernation box and which resources would suit, our art and design to skills to create the box, problem solving skills and communication, language and social skills to collaborate in teams.
