To celebrate Diwali, the children were lucky enough to have a special visitor to discuss this special day, Miss Mary. Miss Mary discussed the story of Rama and Sita and explained why Hindus celebrate this day. She came in a traditional sari and discussed some of the ways that Hindus celebrate Diwali, such as, creating rangoli patterns, lighting diyas and wearing mehndi designs. The children enjoyed learning about Diwali and had a go at creating their own rangoli patterns and mehndi designs.
