Our trip to The National Railway Museum

Year 6 had a wonderful day at The National Railway Museum in York. We began with a workshop, led by museum staff, about building bridges. We learnt about different types of bridges, using key scientific vocabulary and even recreated some of the world's most famous bridges ourselves. We spent the rest of the day exploring the museum and were so proud to see some of the famous trains which were built or repaired in our home town of Doncaster. As always, the children were a credit to the school.
