Number

Inside your home learning pack is a 'Ten Town' number mat.

Please practise recognising these numbers pointing to random numbers not always in order as the children shout out the names!

Practise writing these numbers in different ways such as for example on paper, on a chalkboard, on a wipe board, on large rolls of wallpaper, on the floor outside with a bucket and paintbrush.

Practise counting objects saying number names in the correct order and touching each object to accurately count how many are in a set.

Ten Town is the numeracy programme we use in school and can be found at https://www.tentown.co.uk/ where you will find activities, songs and stories about each number.

Inside your home learning pack there is also a booklet containing lots of fun maths activties and games you can play together.
