Chinese New Year

Children have been celebrating Chinese new year by taking part in lots of different activities around school. The children have learnt about the Chinese Zodiac story and why 2018 is the year of the Dog. As a class, we discussed Chinese traditions and the meaning behind some of these. We shared our own experiences of New Year and compared them to Chinese New Year. 

 

In Year 3, we made dragon wreaths and children had the opportunity to take home chop sticks and fortune cookies to try. See the photos below.
