STEM Day
Year 6 have had great fun participating in a variety of STEM activities with parents and staff. It was fabulous to find out about these key areas.
Skills Builder Legal Eagles Challenge
Year 6 have been exploring what the legal system is as they prepare to prosecute or defend people based on a court case that they are going to be involved in.
Court in session
Year 6 were fantastic as they showcased their understanding of the judicial system by running through three court cases. They all had an important role in explaining why it is important to have a fair trial.
Ice Bucket SATs challenge
As a celebration at the end of SATs the children decided to refresh the Y6 staff. The Y6 staff now challenge Mr Henfield

Easter Farm Visit
The children had egg-cellent fun at the Easter farm.
World Book Day
Year 6 had fun dressing up as Wally for World Book Day or other favourite characters. They explored different texts for the book awards they are helping to judge as well as completing reading orienteering activities. On one of the pictures, can you spot Mr Bump within Wally World? A fabulous day.
Eagles enjoyed the extravaganza of the Hayfield Lane Christmas celebration. The rides and games were fantastic, as was the hot chocolate, which Mrs Harris provided.
Today, the children have been immersed in a Skills Builder card making challenge. They have demonstrated teamwork, leadership and communication skills. They have had to be problem solvers and creators throughout the day. They have worked really well staying positive to ensure the best results for their team.
Skills Builder very kindly matched us up with some business leaders in the corporate world so that the children could find out about their roles as well as the key skills that they used everyday. It was a fantastic session.
Eagles enjoyed meeting some captivating creatures today! They learned about animal classification, habitats and environmental factors affecting these beautiful creatures.
