Maths

There are many simple and fun activities that you can do with your child to develop their basic Maths skills and knowledge. These activities will all support your child in working towards the Year 1 Maths objectives set out in the National Curriculum. For example, simple fun counting forwards and backwards in 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s will help your child achieve the NC objectives:

  • count to and across 100, forwards and backwards, beginning with 0 or 1, or from any given number
  • count, read and write numbers to 100 in numerals; count in multiples of twos, fives and tens

I have placed some examples of Maths activities on the Home Learning sheets which can be found below.

Matheletics

Matheletics can be accessed from home to support and develop your child's Maths knowledge and skills.

Log-in details for Matheletics can be found at the front of the reading planner.
