We have been learning about the process of mummification and we looked at how some of the organs were placed into Canopic jars. We then, sketched a design for the lid of our Canopic jar before having a 'tinker' session with clay where we learnt how to use the 'coiling' and 'pinching' technique to form the jar and the head. We then decided which technique we preferred and used this to make our own version of a Canopic jar.
