Dear Parents,
The staff and children would like to welcome you and your family to our school and hope that you will enjoy finding out about us in this website. Please bear in mind that this website has been created to give you and your child a glimpse into our school, its routines and its aims and values. It also gives you a flavour of how Hayfield Lane differs to other schools.
I am sure that as you browse it together, it will raise many unanswered questions. The best way of finding out the answers is to come and see the school for yourself. If you would like to visit, please phone or email to make an appointment; you would be very welcome.
It is our hope that we shall be able to work together in close partnership with you as parents to help and encourage your child to be an active and creative learner, preparing them well for life.
We are all very proud of our school and the atmosphere within it. We believe that our school is a happy, caring place where there is laughter and friendliness between staff, pupils, parents and governors. We certainly have a family feel even though we are a large primary. It is regularly commented on by all who visit. Alongside this we have a passion to support children in a holistic way, developing them as equitable and active citizens, with good mental health and a determined drive to gain strong academic outcomes. Our multi-disciplinary curriculum is bespoke to us and is rooted in skills and dispositions that our children will require as adults in the future workplace. Experiences and personal development opportunities are extensive at Hayfield Lane as we pride ourselves on harnessing the magic of childhood in an educational setting, where the sky is the limit for all. Our ‘learning journeys’ have real life relevance and are rooted in the love and enjoyment of novels where education content is all connected and meaningful. We love to give children experiences that just cannot be bought, allowing them to dream big ! We are well known for it !
Innovation and leading educational practice is at the heart of all we do at Hayfield Lane. School leaders undertake research projects with global education leaders and publish papers on the work we complete to ensure that the children of Hayfield Lane are gaining the very best that there is to offer. Only the best is good enough ! We also drive educational improvement in the wider sector and work with a range of schools and establishments, feeding into national developments. We are not a school to rest on our laurels !
Come and take a look round to see what we mean.
We look forward to meeting you and your child.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Tempest
