The whole school was presented with a themed challenge day!

The children had to work through a selection of challenges called 'Operation Moon Base'. Over the course of the challenge, learners were actively encouraged to apply all eight essential skills as they considered: What makes a successful society?

The operation was to build a new society on a distant moon called Utopia, including selecting who will be the first citizens, creating an animal that will help people and building a 3D model of a new city. They then presented this to their classmates as part of a presentation.

The 8 essential skills that the children we're working on were:

Listening, Speaking, Problem-Solving, Creativity, Staying Positive, Aiming High, Leadership, Teamwork

The whole day resulted in a celebratory assembly, where each class chose a child that demonstrated good progress within that skill on that day!
