How will History equip children with knowledge and skills for the future?

A high quality history education will help pupils gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world. They will develop a rich knowledge of the past and develop a secure chronological framework. Having a strong understanding of the past, will inform children’s understanding of the present and events that may take place in the future, and inspire a curiosity to learn more about events that have shaped our world.
