We have been learning about 'Living things and their habitats.' As part of this unit, we have looked at a range of living organisms and classified them using similarities and differences, Venn diagrams and Carroll diagrams. We also generated out own criteria to classify them by in the Venn and Carroll diagrams.

We learnt about what would happen if part of a food chain collapsed. We based this on an Arctic food chain. To see the effect visually, we used paper cups and created 4 rows to build a pyramid. Each row was a specific living organisms. We then looked at what would happen if a living organism became less and what impact this would have on the rest of the food chain. We also looked at what would happen if there were too many of one living organism and the effect that this would have as well.
