Hi everyone... what a busy week! 🙂
In year 5 - we have started our new topic 'The Ancient Greeks!'
In English – the 'Swans' have started their learning on 'Greek' myths - we have been busy identifying their key features.
In addition, we enjoyed a fantastic 'Greek' workshop – the children took part in performing the myth of 'Medusa'... they were so enthusiastic and had a super time... it was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and confidence grow throughout the session!
Hi everyone!
We have had a super 'zoom' session linked to careers – we discovered where parks go, how schools are built, where the safest roads are... the jobs of town planners!
In RE our key question is: How do Sikhs express and symbolise their beliefs?
The Swans have been super busy learning about the 5's in Sikhism – all the chn worked collaboratively to complete their concentric rectangle - well done Swans!
In Art - we have started our 'printing' unit... the Swans can't wait to 'print' their own Greek vase!
In Art - we have been super busy looking at 'block' print, 'relief' print and 'intaglio' print - the chn have been very resilient - well done Swans!
In Art - the chn have been looking at the work of Hokusai to inspire their Greek prints!
