Our first explorer week is around the theme of harvest, and autumn!

In the classroom we looked at what Harvest Festival is and why Christians celebrate it, as well as the text "The Little Red Hen". 

At the bungalow, we explored at the texts "Oliver's Vegetables" and "Farmer Duck", and our facilitated activities were based around these. 
As it was our first venture to the bungalow, we talked about our bungalow rules and how to stay safe. 
      

When not in the bungalow, we looked at the story of the Little Red Hen, children really loved getting involved with the story, talking about being a good friend, and baking bread!

 
All children are loving our first explorer week and cannot wait for our next one!
