In Year 5 – we have started our new topic ‘World War II’!

In English – the ‘Swans’ have started reading our class novel... 'Bombs and Blackberries' by Julia Donaldson.

In English - the Swans have been super busy planning their play-script about the christmas Blitz - we played a lively game of Quiz, Quiz, Trade to help us remember key facts about the Battle of Britain and the Blitz - all chn showed super 'teamwork' - well done Swans!

In Swans - we have been super busy learning about 'the Home Front' in World War 2 - we looked at how the Government used a powerful propaganda campaign to influence people to support the war!

In Swans our PE unit is 'Cricket!' - This afternoon- the chn had a lovey game and showed super team-work!

In History - we have continued our learning on World War 2 - we looked at what rationing is and what foods were rationed during WW2. 

In History - the Swans have been super busy looking at 'What happened at Bletchley park and why was it so important to the war effort?'
